Axis Communications, the market leader in network video, today presents its top-of-the-line HDTV 1080p pan/tilt/zoom dome cameras with 20x optical zoom for the ultimate in video quality and performance. The indoor and outdoor-ready AXIS Q6035/-E PTZ Dome Network Cameras also support 50/60 frames per second in HDTV 720p, enabling the capture of quick movements. The cameras are ideal for mission-critical and wide area surveillance applications such as at airports, stadiums and casinos, and for city and perimeter surveillance.

The indoor AXIS Q6035 has an IP52 rating for protection against dust and dripping water, enabling the camera to function even when a sprinkler system is activated. The outdoor AXIS Q6035-E has IP66 and NEMA 4X ratings for protection against rain, snow, sun and dust, and incorporates Axis’ unique Arctic Temperature Control, which allows the camera to start up even at -40 °C (-40 °F). No additional enclosures are needed, which saves time and money, and minimizes installation mistakes. Both indoor and outdoor models are powered using High Power over Ethernet, which further simplifies installation since only one cable is required for power, video and PTZ controls.
